Food that sustains us,
Food that nourishes the depths of our being,
Those places of longing and restlessness.
You denied turning stones in bread,
So you could feed us with the bread of sacrifice,
The bread of your life laid down,
The bread of your Sunday resurrection,
The bread of your words of life,
The bread of one who can calm storms.
Where we need food today, please provide,
Feed those hungry for practical help,
And those hungry for more of you.
