No Fixed Abode

Love has no fixed abode.
It wanders the streets and roams the land,
with a vision of rescue in its eyes,
and courageous warmth in its heart.
It searches us out longing to plant seeds of care in our living.
It offers an open hand, without threat or coercion.
Love does not throw in the towel.
Or fall at the first hurdle.
It knows the importance of the task,
sees a land of lonely lives,
and relentlessly pursues a plan of hope.
No task too small, no place too hopeless, no person too lost.
Unafraid of the dirt and the dark, it soldiers on.
Love has no fixed abode.
It wanders the littered paths of our hearts and minds,
looking for a welcome and an open mind,
for a life to revive and a place to bring some light.
