Have you ever tried to get somewhere
With a group of people or a family,
No one’s ready on time,
Things get forgotten and you have to retrace your steps.
There are arguments on the way and distractions,
Wrong turns and disagreements.
No wonder they were late,
With their entourage and families in tow,
Perhaps that’s why they went to the wrong king too.
Took a wrong turn, lost sight of the star for a moment.
We all lose our way and life ambushes us,
Kidnaps our attention and we lose the plot,
But the wise men found the child and gave their gifts,
And there is always a way back for us too.
