Jesus might hold up a stick and ask, ‘What is it?’
And I would say – a stick. Thinking I was perceptive and clever.
But a child would say – a rocket, an arrow, a wand, a baton, a telescope, a bridge, a giant’s key, a stick insect, a flag pole, a pole to limbo dance under, a hurdle, a tight rope, a javelin, a giant’s bookmark, a loo un-blocker, a friend.
And Jesus says, ‘Unless you become like a little child…’
Matthew 18 v 3
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.”
