The Cat Sat on the Mat

The cat sat on the mat.
But this cat was no ordinary cat,
He was a lion lazing on that mat,
Once fierce and savagely terrifying,
Now he’s just there idly lying.
He’d met a brave man called Dan,
Who actually was no ordinary man.
He’d been thrown into the lion’s den,
Expected to die – but suddenly then
An angel appeared to save the day,
Made the fierce lion wander away.
So Daniel knelt on a nearby mat,
Looked to God and thanked him that
He’d saved his life from this great big cat.
Daniel was a great prophet who
Knew his God was strong and true.
Daniel prayed three times a day,
Knelt on his mat so that he could say,
That God is the Lord wherever we’re at,
And no cat on a mat could ever change that.
