What happened on that Saturday?
After the disciples ran away.
Did they fret, did they fear, did they make a plan,
Did Jesus seem like a failed man?
Another messiah bitten the dust,
Three years of wasting faith and trust.
They thought he was different, thought he could be,
Th one to save humanity.
The one to bring the kingdom in,
Now here they are – alone again.
Perhaps they felt like you and me,
When things are not as they should be.
When we’ve messed up, and fallen apart,
There’s nothing but heaviness in the heart.
When we long to turn back time once more,
To reset what we had before.
What nobody knew, what none could guess,
Was Jesus had died for all that mess.
He’d gone away, for all that was wrong,
And was coming back with a redemption song.
If you've appreciated this, why not...
