Wednesday Riff: The Clefts of Life

We hide in the clefts of life’s rocks
So we may see you and hear you,
Glimpses of the God we love.

In the corners, the nooks and crannies,
In the expected and unexpected places
Of our days and nights.

While walking and running,
Praying and standing still.
In a good book, a compelling film,
In the stories we hear and the faces we see.

Waking and sleeping, listening and talking,
Alone or in a crowd,
Strong or struggling,
Full of faith or wracked by doubt.

In the corners, the nooks and crannies
In the expected and unexpected places
Of our days and nights.

In the clefts of life
We catch glimpses of God.

If you've appreciated this, why not...
