Our lives are this strange mixture –
Glory and grit,
Seeing and believing,
Questioning and doubting,
Loving and hating,
Getting it right, getting it wrong,
Regretting and remembering,
Trusting and fearing,
Judging and forgiving,
Warm hearts and cold,
Waiting and longing,
Complaining and celebrating,
Good Friday and Easter Sunday,
Christmas and Advent,
Wondering and hoping,
Peaceful and stressed.
Our lives are this strange, strange mixture,
Which you understand,
And we often don’t.
And this is our worship,
We bring them today to you.
