Lyrical Riffs I want to change the world if only I could,
Want to make things better as I feel I should,
Want to line things up the way that they should go,
Want to tell others to follow what I know.
Want to make things right, when so much seems so wrong,
Want to teach others to sing my kind of song.
But I can’t do these things, my strength is not enough,
I can’t walk this way – the road is far too tough,
But I can’t stop wishing I could hold back the sea,
Can’t stop willing others to change instead of me.
I know I need some help, someone to lift me up,
To help me glimpse the light when I want to give up.
And so I rest my head, lay my thoughts at the feet
Of one who knows and understands, and has walked this weary street.
