Let there be respect,

And true friendship,

Welcome and questions,

Vision, wisdom and understanding.

Let there be laughter and kindness,

Ears tuned to the cries of the poor,

Eyes open to the needs of the vulnerable.

Let there be strength for the struggling,

Resources for those less fortunate,

Empathy for the hurting,

And forgiveness for the mistake makers.

Let there be voices for the silenced,

Courage for each day’s battles,

Let there be prayers prayed

And lived out.

Let truth embrace love,

And our smiles, hands and feet

Be channels for the compassion

Born of true humanity

And Godly hope.
