Be still

Not easy to stop, to slow down,

To stay ourselves,

To put aside the needs,

Pressures and distractions,

For a minute or two…

And know

Set deep down within us please

The knowledge of who you are,

And who we are in you,

Cherished, welcomed, appreciated,

And remind us please

Of all you have done,

And go on doing for us…

That I am

Present, with us, now,

Outside of time,

Caring, understanding,

On our side…

God.
