The Book of Revelation: The End of the World As We Know It

John writes… his letter, so hold tight, a rollercoaster,

The king’s here, and brave John is sore afraid:

Letters to the churches, don’t forget your first love,

I know about your good deeds, listen up, take heed,

Steer clear of lukewarm, take strength, I’m coming soon,

Knock, knock, I’m at the door, open up the food’s good.

Worship in the great beyond, neverending Lamb’s song,

His government is endless, his reign’ll be the very best.

Seven seals, white robes, earthquake and hailstones,

Hold on, stay strong…

A baby and his mother, a dragon spews water,

A beast full of fury, but there’s more story,

The people stand and hold on, waiting for the glory.

Babylon’s crashing down, her fancy ways all gone,

A white horse rider, brings on the decider,

A thousand years of peace to come, then the new Jerusalem,

Earth and heaven fresh again, no more tears or pain,

The end of death and war, peace now forevermore,

It’s the end of the world as we know it…

And I feel fine.

Eternal city, river run, God’s home, the work done,

People living, endless days, happy in eternal ways,

Look up, hold on, so says the saving son,

The bright morning star will shine, a promise for all time…

A message for each day, keep on the good way,

Though the days are difficult, it’s really not your fault,

Epic battle unseen, plays out behind the scene,

A new world’s on the way, the promise of a better day,

Streets of truth and light, another world coming,

oh yes, that’s right,

It’s the end of the world as we know it…

And I feel fine.
