For all the lives laid down,

For those who served

And continue to serve.

For the courage and the quiet strength,

For so many unknown acts of bravery,

For those who have cared and nursed,

For the vital acts of devotion and duty,

For the support and bonds of friendship

In times so harsh and restless.

For each and every one,

We offer our silent moments of thanks,

Our prayers and gratitude,

Our pausing to reflect and remember.
