(Inspired by a post on Facebook)
If you take a jar of water and add a little earth,
you’ll find mud accumulates, and that just makes hard work.
The mud will cloud our vision, the water will become unclear,
best to wait for the mud to settle, and fresh water to appear.
Life is often full of mud, but there is living water too,
and taking time to still ourselves, can help us make it through.
We can sling mud at others, and make a lot of fuss,
but they may likely sling mud back, and where will that get us?
The living water lives in us, bubbling like a spring,
Offering clarity instead of mud, and something more refreshing.
John 4 v 14
‘…the water I give takes away thirst altogether.
It becomes a perpetual spring within, bringing them eternal life.’
John 7 v 37-38
‘If you’re thirsty, come to me! If you believe in me, come and drink!
For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within.’
If you've appreciated this, why not...
