Perfume

She pours out the perfume and her worship fills the air,
Her raw, heartfelt, mindful dedication is unmissable,
And history is being made.
He is worth every drop, this misunderstood rescuer,
On a mission to change the world,
A mission that will end with a cross and three nails.
And then not end at all.
Just when they thought all was lost,
Just when we thought all was lost,
He is back, bearing the marks of death,
And yet more alive than ever.
He will go through hell for us,
And the gates of heaven swing open,
Like the welcoming arms of God,
Like the smiling forgiveness of the prodigal’s father.
And every time perfume fills the air, we are reminded.
Matthew 26 v 13
