Would God really live on earth?
Would he willingly choose this
Ruptured planet for a home?
And not merely for a staycation,
But moving in good and proper.
Choosing billions of homes in fact,
Flesh and blood, skin and bone huts.
Perhaps he is both bigger and smaller
Than we can imagine.
Stronger than we can perceive,
Yet choosing to be weaker too.
Stepping into the shoes of imperfect people,
Ragged, imploding, wayward as we are,
Sharing his very self with the likes of us,
Looking for hungry hearts,
For those who limp, and long for more.
If you've appreciated this, why not...
