May understanding be the road we walk,
may encouragement be the breeze at our back,
may strength feed our steps and choices,
and may your word be the map for our cluttered days.
And may we take one moment at a time,
saved from being snowed under by life,
always knowing you are with us, the friend of the lost.

And you have become my salvation.
My strength for those days when I wake up washed out,
My song of comfort when my heart stings with worry,
My salvation when rescue is my prayer.
My strength for the mountains I must climb,
My song when words are hard to come by,
My salvation when life lays another ambush.
My strength as I wait on you,
My song of deliverance, guidance and hope,
My salvation in that ragged cross and open tomb.
You are my strength and my song,
And you have become my salvation.
