Lyrical Riffs Dear Lord, we love to bring our praise and thanks,
But this is another kind of prayer,
A prayer about our struggles and disappointments,
Those times when life and others let us down,
Those times when things did not go the way we hoped.
We’re bringing you these disappointments now,
Our hurts and loss and questions and let-downs,
And if we struggle to find the words,
We offer these things with our silence…
…trusting that you understand
And that you want us to offer you all we are,
And all we have been through.
So here we are, we look to you,
And ask for your help, please.
