Lyrical Riffs On earth
We will never know all the times
when good things happened, small or large,
when bad things were prevented, small or large,
when God quietly intervened, no fuss or applause,
when life changed for the better, for a moment or more…
because we prayed, because we offered our time,
and our focus, our silence and our cries,
because we responded to the invitation
to be involved with the work of our Creator,
because we asked for God’s kingdom to come,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Blessing
When we take time to pray,
We bless God, we warm his heart,
We make his being sing,
We bless him and do him good,
He loves to spend time with us,
And is heartened and encouraged,
Praying is about being with God,
Keeping company with Jesus,
Being still so that we can bring a smile.
