We pause to reflect,
Long enough to say thank you,

To say thank you for those who have given so much,
For those who continue to give,
Those who have laid aside their lives
For freedom and justice,
And those who continue to do this today.
And to pray for those caught in the crossfire
Of threat and war and oppression,
Those longing for freedom and justice.
We pray for them, known and unknown,
And we thank you for those who have fought
And those who continue to fight,
Known and unknown,
For peace and safety and a better day.
