Monday Rewrite Philip saw the crowds and said, ‘Send them home, it would be better that way.’
Andrew saw the same crowds and said, ‘I’ve met this lad with some lunch.’
Philip saw the crowds and said, ‘Feeding them would cost too much.’
Andrew said, ‘He’s offering to share it.’
Philip said, ‘At least six months wages.’
Andrew said, ‘He has five loaves and two fish.’
Philip said, ‘We can’t feed them. It’s too difficult.’
Andrew said, ‘It’s something. It’s a beginning.’
Jesus said, ‘Make a start. You feed them.’
And Philip and Andrew collected up 12 baskets of leftovers.
‘Best not to despise the day of small beginnings.’ Zechariah 4 v 10.
