(A prayer drawing on Exodus 3 vv 1-10)
As we stroll, bumble and hurry
Through the land of our daily lives,
Doing the things we must do,
The things we choose to do,
The things we need to do;
Save us Lord from moving too fast
And missing those burning bushes.
Those moments when the sudden burst
Of your presence might take us by surprise,
In the ordinary things
In those bushes that burn anyway,
In the heat of the day,
In the daily run of desert life.
Save us Lord from moving too fast
And missing those burning bushes.
Missing those small miracles,
Those whispers and nudges,
Those signs of your kingdom.
The reassurance that you are near to us
That your presence is with us.
In the rushing and the strolling
In the darkness and the dawn,
Save us Lord from moving too fast
And missing those burning bushes.
If you've appreciated this, why not...
