leading the way in this race of life,
at other times we feel like the prodigal son,
struggling home, disappointed with ourselves,
full of mistakes and the injuries of life.
Thank you that we do not compete alone,
you are with us every inch of the way,
at every twist and turn,
in every moment of doubt and trust.
