Breathe on us dear Lord, we pray,
as you did at creation,
breathing life into us as people,
breathing dignity and honour and purpose.
Breathe on us dear Lord we pray,
as you did in those valley of bones,
resurrecting all that was dry and dreary and hopeless,
breathing vision and meaning and strength.
Breathe on us Lord, we pray,
as you did on those first disciples,
breathing peace and anointing
and the vital presence of your spirit.
Breathe on us dear Lord we pray,
today and each day, for our living and resting,
for our working, playing, trusting and praying,
in our forgiving and caring and noticing others.
Amen
