Lyrical Riffs Lord you know the shiny bits of our lives,
the good bits, the happy bits, the strong bits,
the successful bits… you know these well,
and we regularly bring them to you.
But Lord you also know the wild places,
you know the desolate places,
you know the lonely and empty spaces within us,
the places we don’t understand so well.
You know the dark places,
the places that we ourselves think only we know.
You know the scrublands, the dry, cobwebbed, dusty corners,
these jungles, and the broken and confusing places,
and Lord you invite us to bring these to you as well.
Would you walk through them with us,
would you bring your light and your hope,
and your company and comfort please,
in Jesus’ name, amen.
